Tributes

A Tribute To The Greats

Every edition, FITUT pays tribute to the artists who shaped theatre in Morocco and beyond: directors, actors and writers whose work opened the stage to the generations that followed.

The honourees are celebrated on opening night, in front of the young troupes who carry their legacy on stage.

Questions

FAQ

Do I need a ticket to attend the shows?

No. All performances are free and open to everyone. Seats are given on a first-come, first-served basis, so arrive a little early for the evening shows.

What language are the plays performed in?

Each troupe performs in its own language: Arabic, French, English, Spanish and more. That’s the spirit of the festival: theatre as a language without borders.

Who can apply to compete?

Any student theatre troupe, from any country, attached to a university or higher-education institution. See the application steps below.

Can I volunteer with the festival?

Yes. FITUT is run entirely by students and every edition needs hands for hospitality, logistics, communication and more. Reach out through our social media.

Is the carnival open to the public?

Absolutely. Watch from anywhere along the route or join the parade at any stop.
